Create With Impact: Equity & Inclusion
Apple Distinguished Educators – Canada
Problem
ADE needed to communicate equity and inclusion in a way that felt authentic, human, and aligned with Apple’s design language — avoiding generic or performative visuals.
Solution
Inspired by Geoff McFetridge’s WWDC 2017 illustrations, I created a series of illustrations showing coworkers from diverse backgrounds actively collaborating using Apple products. Inclusion was expressed through shared action rather than symbolism, with Apple technology integrated naturally into the workflow.
Outcome
A warm, scalable visual system that aligned with Apple’s brand while turning abstract values into clear, human storytelling.
Key Insight
Equity is strongest when it’s shown through collaboration, not messaging.
